Let's take a look behind the scenes...
Welcome to an online review of my progress and development as an educator during my time at Indiana University. In the following pages, you will see evidence categorized three ways. First, from edTPA: 
  • Planning: Evidence related to Content and Pedagogical Knowledge, Curriculum, Supporting Learner Needs, Understanding Diverse Learners and Diverse Learning Communities 
  • Instruction: Evidence related to Implementation of Music-Specific Pedagogy, Learning Environment, Fostering Engagement in Learning and Critical Thinking
  • Assessment: Evidence related to Analysis of Student Learning, Developing Appropriate Measures of Student Growth, Developing Students’ Self-Evaluation, Educator Self-Reflection and Revision
Second, from the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC) and the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE):
  • Knowledge: the aspect of declarative and procedural knowledge as necessary for effective practice
  • Performance: the aspect that can be observed and assessed in teaching practice
  • Disposition: the habits of professional action and moral commitments that underlie the performances​
And third, with one or more numbers 1-7 designating standards for educators from the Indiana Developmental Standards for Educators (December 2010) and the INTASC Model Core Teaching Standards (November 2017). You can find these standards here.

Each artifact will be labeled P, I, or A; K, P, or D; and 1-7 with an accompanying description.
