This document acts as a teaching guide for introducing and studying klezmer music to a high school orchestra class. As a body of pedagogical knowledge built into a curriculum, this document demonstrates my ability to forge a philosophy of diverse music instruction into product.

​This podcast on Claude Debussy's Prélude No. X "La cathédrale engloutie" combines and synthesizes a number of primary and secondary scholarly resources to understand the piece from acoustic and stylistic perspectives. As an artifact, it demonstrates my content knowledge, research prowess, synthesis and presentation, and audio production skills.

This compilation of themes from Hans Zimmer's soundtrack to the Netflix film adaptation of The Little Prince (original written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry) for high school marching band demonstrates my skills as an arranger. I display sensitivity to instrument-specific pedagogical needs while also delivering a coherent musical product.

This performance demonstrates the actualization of my skill and musical artistry on the horn, my primary instrument. Developing my musicianship as a solo horn player prepares me to operate at a high level of content knowledge as a music educator.

​This assignment outlines my educational philosophy on considerations for repertoire choices for a performing ensemble. Additionally, I implemented my philosophy into a sample program for a high school wind band with accompanying program notes and rationale for specific pieces.

​After researching the early horn, I produced this essay on the development of the hunting horn into the modern valved horn. Similarly to the podcast posted above, this document demonstrates my ability to critically engage with evidence, theory, and field-relevant content to produce a professional, scholastic product.
